Job Title: Traveling Carpenter

Location: Waterloo, IA (Job sites across Iowa and surrounding states)

Pay: $20 - $25 per hour + Per Diem + Mileage

Seeking a skilled Traveling Carpenter to join our team. As a Traveling Carpenter, you will assist the superintendent in self-perform work on commercial construction job sites. Great opportunity for carpenters looking to travel across Iowa and surrounding states, contributing to various stages of commercial projects. The ideal candidate will have experience in carpentry, framing, and other related construction skills.

Key Details:

Travel: You will drive your own vehicle to job sites, typically leaving Sunday night or Monday morning and returning home Thursday night (with occasional Friday morning work).Perks: Competitive pay, per diem, and mileage reimbursement.Responsibilities:Assist the superintendent with hands-on work on commercial construction sites.Perform tasks across multiple areas of construction, including:Concrete workSteel and wood framingHanging doors and installing hardwareTile and flooring installationTrim carpentrySetting kitchen and bathroom hardware such as sinks and faucetsWork with a variety of hand tools including pouches, hammer, tape measure, speed square, and torpedo level.Essential Skills & Qualifications:Proven experience in carpentry, framing, and commercial construction.Ability to install doors, trim work, cabinets, and hardware.Proficiency in using hand tools such as a tape measure, hammer, speed square, and other essential carpentry tools.Ability to adapt to various project stages, from framing to finishing work.Additional Skills:Experience with concrete work and steel/wood framing.Knowledge of tile and flooring installation.Familiarity with trim carpentry and setting kitchen and bathroom hardware.Why Join?Join a well-established company with a reputation for quality and craftsmanship.Competitive pay and generous benefits, including per diem and mileage reimbursement.Enjoy the flexibility of long weekends with travel schedules that allow for 3-day weekends.Work on diverse and rewarding commercial projects across the region.
