**Job Title: Carpenter** **Job Description** Responsible for building, installing, and repairing structures, fixtures, and other items using different types of materials including wood and steel. Self-perform all aspects of carpentry - rough, finish, steel stud, and cabinets. **Responsibilities** + Estimate height, width, length, and other proportions + Work with blueprints or instructions from supervisors + Work with materials such as wood, plastic, fiberglass, or drywall + Utilize chisels, planes, saws, drills, and sanders to repair and erect structures + Join materials with nails, screws, staples, or adhesives + Check work along the way to ensure it’s up to code and specifications + Use levels, rules, plumb bobs, framing squares, and surveying equipment to ensure everything is level and secure + Install cabinets and molding + Create structures for pouring concrete + Install partitions, doors, and windows **Essential Skills** + 3-5 years of commercial carpentry experience + Ability to estimate height, width, length, and other proportions + Work with blueprints or instructions from supervisors + Work with materials such as wood, plastic, fiberglass, or drywall + Utilize chisels, planes, saws, drills, and sanders to repair and erect structures + Join materials with nails, screws, staples, or adhesives + Check work along the way to ensure it’s up to code and specifications + Use levels, rules, plumb bobs, framing squares, and surveying equipment to ensure everything is level and secure + Install cabinets and molding + Create structures for pouring concrete + Install partitions, doors, and windows **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Reliable transportation to jobsites + Ability to travel to projects as needed - being able to travel out of state/overnight will increase long-term opportunities **Work Environment** Will be working in all weather elements. Typically, you will work on a site with 6-8 people, but at times can be 14-16. The dress code includes steel toe boots and pants. Personal protective equipment such as hard hats and safety shirts is required. Typical working hours are from 6:30 AM to 3:00 PM, with potential overtime as project needs dictate, sometimes working 10-hour days. Each site can determine their specific start time, but these are the typical hours from Monday to Friday. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $39.00 Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
