Job Description
As a Carpenter, you will be responsible for building, installing, and repairing structures, fixtures, and other items using various materials including wood and steel. You will self-perform all aspects of carpentry work including rough, finish, steel stud, and cabinetry. This role involves working on projects for well-known clients across Wisconsin and out of state.
ResponsibilitiesBuild, install, and repair structures, fixtures, and other items using wood, plastic, fiberglass, or drywall.Self-perform all aspects of carpentry including rough, finish, steel stud, and cabinetry.Work with blueprints or instructions from supervisors.Utilize tools such as chisels, planes, saws, drills, and sanders to repair and erect structures.Join materials with nails, screws, staples, or adhesives.Check work to ensure it meets code and specifications.Use levels, rules, plumb bobs, framing squares, and surveying equipment to ensure everything is level and secure.Install cabinets, molding, partitions, doors, and windows.Create structures for pouring concrete.Work Environment
You will be working in all weather conditions on job sites typically with 6-8 team members, but sometimes with 14-16. The dress code includes steel-toe boots, pants, and necessary PPE such as a hard hat and safety shirt. Typical working hours are from 6:30 am to 3:00 pm with potential for overtime as project needs dictate. Each site may have different start times, but these are the standard hours. Expect to sometimes work 10-hour days.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $39.00/hr.
