**Job Title: Carpenter** **Job Description** We are looking for a skilled carpenter to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for various tasks related to the maintenance and repair of trailers. This role requires someone who is mechanically inclined, coachable, and takes pride in their work. **Responsibilities** + Tear out drywall and replace it depending on the layout needed for the next job site. + Use basic hand and power tools on the job. + Utilize a spray gun to paint the interior and exterior of the trailers. + Tear out and replace flooring with laminate or tile flooring. + Document completed tasks on trailers using a paper method system. + Operate a forklift to move or lift items around the yard, if necessary. + Clean windows, blinds, doors, floors, and walls if needed. **Essential Skills** + Experience with HVAC, plumbing, maintenance, repair, electrical, and framing. + Familiarity with basic construction processes. + Experience working in a manufacturing environment. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Handy man type skills or maintenance experience in apartment complexes. + No certifications or specific licenses required. + Mechanically inclined and coachable. + Pride in work and willingness to get dirty. **Why Work Here?** Join a large national company that offers great medical benefits, 401K matching, and generous paid leave. The shift is Monday to Friday, 7am-3:30pm, with additional hours during the Spring and Summer due to increased workload. **Job Type & Location** This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Portland, Oregon. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $23.00/hr.
