Job Description

This role will work on new construction and remodeling projects. The work consists of framing, doors, and windows, casework and cabinets, installing specialties, wood and steel framing, and more.

Work Environment

You will work in small to medium size new builds, remodels, and additions, including schools, gyms, churches, restaurants, warehouses, and convenience stores. Expect to work in commercial construction job sites, getting dirty and dusty while working in outdoor elements, although most work will be indoors during the winter. The typical work schedule is Monday to Friday from 6:30 AM to 4 PM, with minimal weekend work. You will need to meet at the shop in the morning, as company trucks leave at 6:29 AM sharp, so it is crucial to arrive 10-15 minutes early. The team consists of 55 employees, with 35 in the field, usually working with another carpenter on-site. The dress code includes jeans, boots, and a t-shirt.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Cedar Rapids, Iowa.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $26.00/hr.
