Amentum is seeking a skilled Carpenter to join our team for an OCONUS construction project. This project will last approximately 8-months. This will be an opportunity to work on a high-impact project in a dynamic environment. The position will require the following attributes and responsibilities: + Performing all tasks and assignments in a safe and effective manner + Perform layout of construction requirements utilizing drawings and specifications + Perform material take-off of architectural materials utilizing drawing and specifications. + Inventory of materials at URS’ local warehouse and assist with load definition in support of the project schedule + Perform selective demolition at the project site and removal of refuse from the area + Installation of architectural assemblies to include metal framing, drywall, suspended ceiling systems, raised floor systems, architectural finishes, doors, locksets and miscellaneous assemblies in support of the project requirements + Erection of scaffolding and platforms, as required, to support the project requirements + Cleanup of the work areas and maintaining the work areas free of clutter and debris + Perform material handling in support of the architectural requirements, as well as the overall project requirements + Support multi-discipline needs in support of the project requirements + Work double shifts as needed **Required Qualifications:** + Must have a Secret US Government Security Clearance. Note: US Citizenship is required to maintain a Secret Security Clearance + High school diploma or GED equivalent + At least 5 years of job-related experience and 7 years in the architectural trades + Demonstrated proficiency of architectural skill set through trade school, technical school and / or experience **Preferred Qualifications:** + OCONUS Experience.
