Job Description
The Carpenter Laborer is responsible for performing a variety of carpentry and general building construction tasks at various residential, commercial, and/or industrial job site locations. This position works under the direct supervision of the Lead Carpenter.
ResponsibilitiesPerform basic layout work for new construction sites and/or remodels.Construct and position concrete forms for footings and foundations using power and hand tools.Occasionally help pour concrete and disassemble forms when concrete is set.Install and set floor joists, frame floors, and lay down sheets of plywood to build the sub-floor.Build exterior and interior walls, stand walls up, and brace/secure them into place.Install protective sheeting around exterior walls to seal out weather.Frame openings for windows and doors.Hang exterior and interior doors and exterior windows.Install roof trusses, sheets of plywood, and lay roof sheeting.Perform finishing work including installing inside trim pieces, sanding, staining, and painting.Essential Skills2+ years of previous construction experience required.Basic understanding of stud layout and rough framing.Basic ability to read and understand blueprints.Must have a valid driver’s license and/or reliable means of transportation to job site locations.Must provide own basic hand tools.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience with construction, carpentry, and framing.Proficiency in using hand tools.Experience in rough carpentry and installation tasks.Why Work Here?

Work Environment
Work will be performed on various construction sites. Employees must provide their own basic hand tools, but specialty tools and equipment are provided by the employer.

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $30.00
