$35,000 - $42,875; commensurate with experience

Job Summary/Basic Function

Perform and or oversee tasks related to constructing, erecting, installing and repairing structures and fixtures made from wood and other materials on University facilities and construction projects. May be required to supervise job site(s), university employees and or contracted/temp workers based on assignment. Extensive knowledge of skilled carpentry, commercial construction and remodeling trades, practices, procedures, techniques, tools and equipment, materials, specifications, quality control, cost control, safety and applicable building codes required.

Required Education

High School diploma or High School Equivalency (HSE) required.

Required Related Experience

Three years of progressively responsible commercial/remodeling carpentry work experience required.

Desirable Related Experience

Five years of progressively responsible commercial/remodeling carpentry work experience, of which two years were at the lead carpenter level.
