**Responsibilities:**
+ Security - assist in opening and closing building.
+ Routinely inspect equipment and fixtures for safety, operation, and efficiency.
+ Perform general building repairs as needed and report major repair issues to Facilities Director.
+ Set-up and clean-up for special meetings and events.
+ Maintain records on all building inspections and reports.
+ Support faculty and staff with special requests and projects that create a safe learning environment.
+ Perform routine preventive maintenance on kitchen and other equipment.
+ Painting and performing sheetrock repairs.
+ Perform minor plumbing repairs.
+ Deliver goods and supplies received to appropriate faculty.
+ Assist with traffic duties during afternoon Carpool.
+ Organize and maintain all building supplies
**Qualifications:**
+ 2-5 years experience in general maintenance or other maintenance responsibilities that would include the ability to recognize electrical, plumbing, and mechanical malfunctions or equipment failures.
+ Ability to install, inspects, repair and maintain the electrical, plumbing and other related systems.
+ Ability to meet and deal tactfully and courteously with faculty, staff and vendors/contractors.
+ Ability to perform various clean-up and maintenance tasks as needed.
+ Ability to inspect, operate the heating, cooling and ventilation system and the boiler system.
+ Ability to understand written and oral instructions.
+ Thorough knowledge of the occupation hazards and corresponding safety precautions necessary for the safe performance of assigned duties
+ The employee must be able to: See, talk and hear Bend, crouch, move through the school. Stoop, stand, walk, climb stairs / ladders and possess the ability to lift / carry heavy loads of 50 lbs. or more.
