Qualifications + Education: High School Diploma or GED, required. + Experience: Ten plus years of experience performing general construction activities in a commercial, industrial or healthcare setting, required. Eight years of experience performing general construction activities in a healthcare setting, preferred. + Licensure/Certification: General Contractors License, preferred. + Additional Skills (required): + Ability to successfully complete generic and department-specific skills validation and competency testing. Ability to successfully apply customer satisfaction standards. Knowledgeable in the use of a variety of hand and power tools used in facility construction and maintenance. Ability to interact with individuals of all cultures and levels of authority. + Certification/s or thorough knowledge of the principles of design, construction and renovations in various types of trade skills to include framing, drywall, millwork, doors, flooring, and ceiling installations. Certification/s or thorough knowledge of building codes. Certification/s or thorough knowledge in reading and understanding blue prints and electrical schematics. + Additional Skills (preferred): Thorough knowledge of electrical codes, fire codes, and The Joint Commission standards for the Environment of Care. Certification/s or thorough knowledge in reading and understanding blue prints and electrical schematics.
