By working at Yellowstone National Park, you will get all three! As a Carpenter, you will play a vital role in supporting the day-to-day maintenance functions that keep the park running smoothly. Job Summary: Carpenters will perform assessments, maintenance, and repairs on both historic and non-historic structures. The role requires adherence to safety protocols, building codes, and company policies, as well as accurate documentation of work performed. The ideal candidate must possess knowledge of OSHA requirements, maintain a safe work environment, and foster a cooperative spirit within the organization. The Details: Position Type: Seasonal Season Dates: March/April 2025 - October/November 2025 Pay:$20.75 - $22.75/hour Schedule: Typical schedule is 40 hours, 5 days per week (may include weekends, evenings, and holidays) Why Yellowstone National Park? Responsibilities Performs carpentry assessments, preventative maintenance, repairs and replacements of structural, building envelope, flooring, cabinetry and other wood building systems and components Accountable for proper and accurate documentation of labor & materials for work performed in accordance with established company procedures Provide assistance in the seasonal opening/closing of facilities Responsible for the performance and continuous improvement of preventive maintenance procedures for wooden systems and components Ensures proper work methods and products are used on historic as well as non-historic structures Advise the Location Maintenance Manager on the need for, and prioritizing carpentry related capital improvement projects Responsible for quality craftsmanship work through assigned work orders and tasks assigned while complying with all current and related codes and regulations Qualifications Aptitude required to complete common carpentry repairs Proficient in the operation and use of common carpentry equipment and tools General knowledge of OSHA requirements and the use of personal protective equipment Ability to read, understand and comply with all company policies and procedures Capable of and willing to advance his or her carpentry knowledge and expertise through on-the-job training and self-study Must be at least 19 years old and have valid driver’s license; good driving record required Physical Requirements Include: This position may require the use of respiratory protection and will require compliance with applicable regulations Ability to walk long distances over uneven terrain and climb stairs and ladders in all types of weather conditions Capable of lifting objects weighing up to 50 pounds Possess physical stamina to withstand heavy labor related work in an outside environment Standing, bending, kneeling, crawling, for extended periods of time are required We are an Equal Opportunity Employer.
