We have an incredible opening for a Activities Assistant to join our team! The Activities Assistant is responsible for assisting the Executive Director in providing activities programs and opportunities for residents that promote a level of health, wellbeing, engagement and growth.

 

Our Activities Assistant


Assist with preparation and distribution of weekly program contents. Assist with gathering information, articles, and photos for newsletter. Assist with planning and coordinating special events, arts programs, entertainment, special events, parties, group games, interfaith services, and independent projects. Assist the Director in maintaining an adequate supply of books, puzzles, magazines and games. Assist the Director in training all staff on activity-related programs. May be occasionally responsible for transporting residents to appointments, as well as regular and special recreational outings. Promote the Mission, Vision and Values of Transforming Age in all areas of responsibility. Perform other duties as assigned.


What you need to succeed!

 

A high school diploma or equivalent education, training and experience One year of activities/life enrichment experience, preferably working with seniors Must possess a current and valid driver’s license and clear driving record A familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Acrobat and/or Adobe Reader An upbeat, fun, outgoing personality and can-do attitude Demonstrated excellent written and verbal communication skills Patience, flexibility and a willingness to go above and beyond as needed to ensure the success of your team and care for residents of the community
