Reports to: Carrier Program Manager

Schedule: Hybrid (3 on site, 2 remote) / 8am - 5pm

Pay range: $65,000-85,000/year + bonus

Travel: Less than 10%

How will you CONTRIBUTE and GROW?

Job Description Summary: The Carrier Operations Analyst is responsible for the ongoing development and support of the Carrier life-cycle process related to securing, monitoring and releasing of carriers in the AMG Distribution network of up to 150 spot carriers and about 150 dedicated carriers.  As such, the Carrier Operations Analyst will be reporting key performance indicators to multiple stakeholders including: the Carrier Team, Supply Chain, Logistics and Distribution teams as well as carrier companies.

​Responsible for analyzing carrier needs from multiple stakeholders and developing the carrier strategy to meet business needs. Manage carrier resources for assigned projects along with the performance during those projects. Understand current carrier contracts, operate within them and hold carriers accountable from an operations performance perspective. 

Work closely with NLC to ensure carriers are released on schedule or reassigned according to driver type and priority.  Responsible for obtaining home time from vendors as well as communicating home time with our logistics team. Ensuring that processes for requesting carriers are being followed and well documented.

Update carrier headcount database to showcase current driver population and utilization. Provide carrier usage reports to finance on a monthly basis. Expert level in the reporting features of Transportation & Distribution systems to provide management ad-hoc reports as well as customized standardized reports regarding contracted operational KPIs on a monthly basis. Manage all carrier data within our system of record (ALTO) and address all errors during driver set up and utilization.  

Provide feedback to Logistics Center Leadership on carrier performance and training needs. Participate in and help with the implementation of cross functional projects as needed.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in business administration, operations management, organizational management and/or another related degree.  

In lieu of a college degree, three to five (3-5) years equivalent experience in Distribution and/or Logistics, required

2-4 years experience in a fast pace business logistics and/or supply chain function required

Proficient in Google and Microsoft Office applications

Experience using proprietary and/or off-the-shelf planning/optimization programs

Must be able to participate in rotating on-call schedules with team members to ensure coverage on nights and weekends.

Preferred Qualifications

1+ year Power BI experience
