Job Summary:

The Assistant Director, Carrier Relations will report directly to the Director, Carrier Relations, also working closely with the Senior Director, US Markets.

This individual will support the Director of Carrier Relations across all elements of carrier engagement across the admitted and non-admitted markets in the United States, working with internal field teams and engaging the external carrier community to drive optimum performance and achieve Acrisure’s growth targets. In addition, they support the profiling of Acrisure’s key trading partners globally, developing overviews of both the quantitative portfolio and qualitative trading relationship. As Acrisure becomes an integrated business, this individual will work towards elevating Acrisure’s status with carriers to reflect its new identity.

Responsibilities:

Commercial lines retail placement strategy execution

Collation of carrier production reports and tracking against them.

Preparation for carrier performance review sessions –data analysis, material development, agenda building and follow up.

Regular correspondence with regional placement teams to gather qualitative information regarding carrier performance.

Specialty, wholesale and personal lines placement strategy formulation.

Conducting data analysis to produce detailed insight into specialty portfolio.

Supporting development of strategic direction for Acrisure’s specialty segments

Building quantitative portfolio overviews for any given carrier, capturing trading across Acrisure’s US and international retail, US and London wholesale, reinsurance, corporate advisory and servicing businesses.

Fostering trading relationships with key carrier partners.

Promoting the restructuring of carrier approach to engaging with Acrisure under new regional structure.

Deep understanding and analysis of carrier compensation plans and development of plans towards maximising revenue through those agreements.

Developing materials for effective communication of compensation structures to field teams and executives.

Keeping abreast of industry / market dynamics and preparing informative documentation for Acrisure leaders.

Assisting the promotion of non-retail segments of Acrisure’s capability set to carrier partners, including corporate advisory, legacy, reinsurance, servicing and more.

Skills Required:

Understanding of negotiation processes with carrier community across compensation and all elements of trading.

Deep data and analytical skills, specifically relating to (re)insurance portfolio data and carrier compensation plans.

Working level understanding of all elements of the value chain, including retail, wholesale and reinsurance markets.

Effective relationship management, through quantitative and qualitative means.

Shaping of clear and effective reporting to leadership communities.

Presentational skills to a leadership audience.

Literacy in assessing carrier production reports and performance indicators.

Strong proficiency with excel.

Issue resolution.

Experience:

Bachelor’s degree in a related field, such as business administration, marketing or finance required.

Experience trading in the US retail and/or wholesale insurance market

Familiarity with all forms of compensation; base commission, contingent and supplemental

Proven track record of working with data to support effective reporting structures and strategy development.

Management of data review sessions, agenda building, documentation development and follow up.

Experience in utilizing technology to enhance performance and efficiency

Awareness of and interest in the US reinsurance market

Travel 

Must be able to travel to all offices, client offices and events as needed 

Technology 

Demonstrated administrative computing skills, including Microsoft Office (MS Project, Visio, Word, Excel, and Power Point) 

Deeper literacy with Microsoft Excel and data analysis

Pay Details:

Annual Salary: $125,000 - $150,000
