CAS Lead - 1st Shift - Tecumseh, NE

Job Details:

Hours:  5:30 a.m. - approximately 2:30 p.m. -or- upon completion of production, assigned work and daily paperwork.  Hours will vary

Job Description: 

The CAS Leader is required to know and understand the responsibilities of all positions within CAS department as they will replace associates as needed due to workers leaving the line or absences.  The leader will be required to assist in training and managing CAS team members to ensure they are performing their duties safely and up to standards.  The Leader will need to have general knowledge of the CAS equipment to perform audits as necessary and communicate needs with Maintenance. This position is also responsible for paperwork and data entry associated with attendance, audits, sop’s, training and all appropriate paperwork when Supervisor/Manager is absent.  Working with USDA and all other department Managers will be necessary as well as any additional duties as requested/assigned by production management. 

Requirements:

The leader must be proficient in all of the above mentioned areas and possess leadership qualities.  Candidate must possess good communication skills and the ability to direct workflow efficiently and at a fast pace.  The physical ability to be on your feet all day without difficulty is required.  Mastery of animal welfare standards will be expected.  Ability to accept changes to processes and accept responsibility is required.  Experience in managing others, a plus.

Rehire Consideration:

Max of two (2) previous Tyson Employments to be considered for hire. 90 days (3 months) waiting period.
