CASAC POSITION SUMMARY:

Responsible for the development, implementation and maintenance of quality therapeutic programming to support the program participants and their needs Provide group and individual therapeutic services to individuals with co-occurring disorders specializing in Alcohol and Substance Abuse counseling CASAC assists program manager in overseeing the daily operations of the Afternoon Cohort and its programming Excellent interpersonal abilities, and demonstrate a compassionate, professional and mature manner

CASAC RESPONSIBILITIES:

Provide recovery oriented activities in a group setting based on the individual action plans using evidence based curriculums as available Responsible for coordination of individuals care through the recovery process, assisting them with the process of assessing the major life roles they desire to work toward Provide individual counseling including crisis counseling and Alcohol/Substance Abuse counseling (IDDT) as reflected in the IAP and/or requested by the individual Complete all required regulatory and billing documentation within agency and regulatory guidelines. Serves as a member of the interdisciplinary team and clinical team Able to willingly contribute talents and skills to achieve individual and departmental goals and objectives

 

CASAC REQUIREMENTS:

Bachelor's degree in a Human Service field preferred Credentialed through an approved NYS alcohol counseling program and a NYS certified Alcoholism and Substance Abuse counselor required One (1) years' experience working in behavioral health setting. Experience working with individuals with Co-Occurring or multiple diagnosis (Mental Illness and Alcohol/Substance Abuse).

 

The pay for this position ranges from $ 28.20 to $33.33 per hour.

This range serves as a good faith estimate and actual pay will encompass a number of factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies and experience. The salary range or rate listed does not include any bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation that may be applicable to this job and it does not include the value of benefits.
