Position Summary: Supports the functions of the Discharge planning process. Working in collaboration with the Case Managers and Social Workers. Verifies benefits, processes discharge orders and provides insurance reviews. Obtains authorization and follows up with patients post discharge regarding arranged services. Assists in the development of new processes, providing direction and support to the Case Management Support staff. Serves as a resource to co-workers. Provides input to co-workers annual evaluations in concert with Department Manager. May perform other duties as assigned.
Job Qualifications: [Required] High School Diploma or equivalent. 1-2 years office or clerical experience; typing/computer skills with knowledge of Windows-based programs.
[Preferred Qualifications]: Office or clerical experience in a hospital setting; Medical terminology; HMO and insurance experience.
Salary range: $21.00 - $29.39. Salary will be commensurate with experience.
