Case Manager I

Overview Responsible for providing case management, crisis intervention, advocacy, service referrals, and victim assistance to survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault, teen dating violence, stalking, or human sex trafficking. Qualifications EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENT Associate's degree from a 2-year college or technical school; no substitutions. EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENT At least two (2) years of experience in a related field. COMPUTER SKILLS An individual should have knowledge of Database software, Internet software, and Word Processing software. CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS Must possess a valid driver's license with a driving history verified through a motor vehicle report that meets the requirements for Cherokee Nation underwriting rating. OTHER QUALIFICATIONS The employee must not be and will not be under sanction by the United States Department of Health and Human Services Office of the Inspector General (OIG) or by the General Services Administration (GSA) or listed on the OIG's Cumulative Sanction Report, or the GSA's List of Excluded Providers, or listed on the OIG's List of Excluded Individuals/Entities (LEIE). Must meet and maintain periodic background investigation and adjudication for child care. PHYSICAL DEMANDS While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, and sit. The employee is frequently required to talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to use hands to finger, handle or feel, reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl, and taste or smell. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. There are no special vision requirements. WORK ENVIRONMENT While performing the duties of this job, the employee may occasionally be exposed to outdoor weather conditions. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
