CASE MANAGER SUPERVISOR 

 

We are excited to invite a passionate and experienced Case Manager Supervisor to join our team! Homes for the Homeless (HFH) is searching for an experienced Case Manager Supervisor for our Families w/ Children facility located in the Longwood area of the Bronx. The Case Manager Supervisor will oversee the performance of Housing Specialists and Case Managers including periodic case file audits and weekly meetings. The Case Manager Supervisor will also liaise with Social Workers and partners, provide guidance, and take on a caseload as needed.

Homes for the Homeless operates shelters for families experiencing homelessness in NYC. Our family residences are more than just a place to sleep. Families can make the most of their stay through accessing an array of onsite programs. Many of these programs are also available to people living in the local community. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Ensure that Case Managers are referring clients to existing employment readiness services, and research and implement new strategies for assisting clients with the job search. Ensure that intakes are completed within 48 hours of arrival and provide signature for each.  Ensure that housing specialists are completing intakes and following up.  Complete chart audits to ensure compliance with state and city mandates.  Provide notification of the department’s hours and available services for facility bulletin boards.  Provide ongoing training and support to case management and housing staff.  Ensure that all State and DHS mandates are being adhered to.   

QUALIFICATIONS

BA/BS and at least 1-2 years of experience supervising case managers  Familiarity with DHS procedures and NYC housing programs  Excellent computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office Knowledge of CARES a plus Strong communication and interpersonal skills  Bilingual English/Spanish a plus
