Position Overview: The Caseworker/Program Facilitator supports the success of The Salvation Army Tamaqua Service Center by managing seasonal and ongoing programs and building strong relationships with volunteers and community agencies in Tamaqua, Schuylkill County Service Extension ZIP codes, and Lansford (Carbon County), PA

ResponsibilitiesDescription of Position: The Caseworker/Program Facilitator oversees social service programs at The Salvation Army Tamaqua Service Center, including emergency assistance, food pantry coordination, and seasonal initiatives, while also handling client intake, referrals, and emergency assistance approvals in Schuylkill County and the Lansford area of Carbon County. This role includes organizing seasonal programs such as camp, Back-to-School, Easter, and Christmas Angel Trees with local churches, businesses, and schools; supporting food pantries; and maintaining Turbo Stats reports. The Caseworker manages PR for the center through social media and email, recruits and sustains the Service Center Advisory Board, coordinates meetings, and designs forms subject to Regional Manager approval. Record-keeping, office supply management, equipment maintenance, and Red Kettle Coordinator support are required, along with volunteer recruitment, training, and paperwork processing. Community relations and outreach are key, as the Caseworker builds connections with agencies and businesses and seeks volunteers, donors, sponsors, and partners for annual fundraising and the Christmas kettle season. Additional responsibilities include attending training, responding promptly to communications, collaborating with Schuylkill and Carbon County Service Units and Pottsville Corps, participating in agency meetings as needed, and performing related duties as assigned.

QualificationsRequirements:
High School Education with 5 years related experience and/or extensive work history in diversified Working knowledge of computer programs including Windows, Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, Power Point.Typing speed of at least 40 Excellent telephone and all other communication skills.Ability to work effectively with persons seeking assistance.Self-motivated and self-direc To be able to prioritize work and have a quick response to those in field.A valid PA Driver's License with a satisfactory driving As a Mandated Reporter, must provide proof of having completed training on recognizing and reporting child abuse meeting the training standards of PA Act 153 of2014 within 30 days of employment with recurrent training required every five years Meet the Child Protection Clearances required by PA Act 153, including the PA Child Abuse History Clearance, PA State Police Criminal Record Check, and FBI Criminal Record Check.Must possess an understanding of and support the mission of The SalvationContact: If you are interested in applying for this position, please submit your resume and cover letter.
