Job Title: Accounts Receivable Specialist

Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented Accounts Receivable Specialist to join our close-knit team on a 10-13 week contract to fill in for maternity leave. This role involves processing payments, managing deductions disputes, and working closely with various teams to ensure accurate and timely posting of customer payments.

ResponsibilitiesProcess payments and post them to customer accountsReconcile payment discrepanciesWork with customer service and order entry teams to respond to inquiriesManage deductions disputes such as shortages and finesCollaborate with accounting and finance teamsProcess credit and debit memosManually review customer remittanceMatch payments to invoicesPost approximately 12-20 payments per dayAddress deductions and post payments on the same dayEssential Skills1 year of accounting experience specifically within Accounts Receivable, Cash Applications, and Payment PostingIntermediate Microsoft Excel skills, including the ability to use pivot tables and V LookupsFamiliarity with any accounting systemsAdditional Skills & QualificationsExperience with cash applications and payment posting within the manufacturing industryExperience using the Infor XA accounting systemCollege educationResponsibleReliableAbility to multi-taskAttention to detailWork Environment

This role is based in a small office environment with around 20 people, part of a family-owned company with a close-knit and fun culture. The office personnel regularly participate in potlucks, happy hours, and other celebrations. The stable organization has been in the same location for 100 years and is anticipating growth, including the addition of 20 new production workers this year. The accounting team consists of two people in the office. You will work closely with the Customer Service and Order Entry teams in a quiet and relaxed environment.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $20.00/hr.
