Description We are seeking a Cash Applications Specialist for a contract-to-hire opportunity with our client. This role is ideal for someone with a strong background in finance and accounts receivable who thrives in a fast-paced, detail-oriented environment. The Cash Applications Specialist will play a crucial part in ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of cash applications and account reconciliations. Responsibilities + Cash Application Processing: Accurately process cash applications for multiple locations, ensuring payments are posted promptly and correctly. + Payment Information Handling: Obtain deposit and credit card information to facilitate the application of cash to customer accounts. + Deposit Reconciliation: Reconcile cash applications with deposits and credit card receipts, ensuring all records align. + Chargeback Management: Send back charges to locations for approval and follow up on resolutions. + Journal Entries: Prepare and enter journal entries within the general ledger in compliance with company policies. + Account Reconciliation: Reconcile cash applications and AR aging sub-ledgers to the general ledger to ensure accuracy. + Reporting: Assist in preparing detailed reports, analyses, and presentations related to cash activities and reconciliations. + Process Improvement: Collaborate with team members to identify potential improvements in cash application workflows and processes.
