Description We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Accounts Receivable & Cash Application Specialist to join our client's team in Carlsbad, CA. This role will be responsible for ensuring the accurate and timely processing of cash applications, collections, credit memos, and accounts payable tasks, primarily within the NetSuite environment. This position requires strong organizational skills, the ability to prioritize tasks effectively, and excellent communication skills to interact with internal and external stakeholders. Responsibilities: Cash Applications: + Process and apply incoming payments accurately and efficiently. + Reconcile discrepancies and resolve any payment issues. + Collaborate with the team to ensure timely and complete cash application. + Escalate complex issues to the appropriate team members. Accounts Receivable: + Manage collections activities, including contacting customers regarding outstanding invoices. + Issue credit memos and process adjustments as needed. + Monitor customer payment patterns and identify potential risks. + Generate and distribute reports on aging and collections. NetSuite: + Utilize NetSuite for all core AR and AP functions, including cash application, collections, reporting, and invoice processing. + Maintain proficiency in NetSuite and stay updated on any system enhancements. Other: + Assist with other accounting duties as assigned. + Contribute to process improvements and efficiency gains within the department. Requirements Qualifications: + 2+ years of experience in Accounts Receivable and/or Accounts Payable roles. + Experience with ERP systems, preferably NetSuite. + Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices. + Excellent data entry skills and attention to detail. + Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. + Strong communication and interpersonal skills. + Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
