We are currently seeking a Cash Applications Specialist in the Finance department, reporting to the Cash Applications Manager. The role will reside in the Dallas office with hybrid work capabilities and will be responsible for performing daily cash application tasks, including reconciling payments, posting to client accounts, and resolving discrepancies. This is a high-volume role that requires attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently. The Specialist will ensure accurate and timely processing of cash receipts and support the overall efficiency of the cash application process. Key responsibilities of this position include : + Perform daily cash application tasks in VersaPay and Aderant. + Process and apply incoming payments, including checks, credit card payments, and electronic funds transfers, accurately and in a timely manner. + Responsible for a high volume of cash application including any related research and associated internal/external contact. + Ability to multi-task effectively and adhere to all departmental deadlines for posting payments. + Ensures accuracy of cash application by balancing deposit totals to system generated reports and resolve discrepancies in cash applications. + Investigate unidentified cash and resolve misdirected payment. + Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance department efficiency. + Collaborate with billing and revenue team to improve cash application process. + Assist with special projects as needed.
