Danfoss Mexico is looking for a SME Cash Application for our Plant in Apodaca. The Credit management team in Apodaca is looking for talented Cash Applicator SME (Subject Matter Expert) to support our dedicated Cash Application Team.
In this job you will play a key role in securing incoming payments are applied timely and correct, as well as securing clearing, which form the base for others to plan and perform their job probably. Besides the hands-on in daily operation, you will support the team based on your superior detailed system and process insights, as well as secure training of new-comers and participate in our global SME community who supports on process changes, testing, implementation, training and issue investigations.
Responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to, the following.
Post cash receipts for bank transfers, bank cheques and netting intercompany using information indicated on the bank statement and customer remittance to identify the invoices to match. Ensure processes are fully documented including any remittance or receipt level specific variance, along with an understanding of the background to these variances to ensure optimum standard processes. Monitor & clear all queries and requests to the Team mailbox on a regular basis throughout each day. Work closely with the Credit Management team to address Cash On Account through prompt management of remittance advice and communication of significant values on key customer that are missing the appropriate back up Review all closing document and ensure accuracy of the receivables data prior to closing. Perform AR closing activities. Deliver all Internal/External/SOX Audit requirements as requested Actively highlight processes for improvement opportunities Participate in process and system testing, implementation of changes, update documentation and secure prober training Support the Cash Application Team Leader in securing process execution according to our documentation and initiate corrective action and additional training where applicable. Education in the area of Economy International Business or Accounting, 2-3 years of experience in similar area English at least on upper intermediate level – both verbal and written – besides excellent organizational and communication skills with a pro-active attitude and comfortable doing trainings and introductions. Precise and detail-oriented person. Ability to identify issues quickly and develop efficient solutions is essential for handling payment discrepancies and other financial challenge Ability to manage multiple tasks within demanding timelines. A good listener with strong analytical skills with attention to the details. Self-motivated individual with a "can do" attitude – finding joy in helping others. Experience with SAP – and preferably S4/HANA – is a must. Familiarity with accounting practices expected. Basic MS Office knowledge with more advanced Excel level.
