Cash Equities Middle Office - Client Service Analyst

The APAC Cash Middle Office team provides business-aligned support for sales activities in Asia, managing market risk, supporting client operations, and maintaining stringent controls in daily sales activities across a range of products including Derivatives, Cash equity, and more.

Job Summary

As a Cash Equities Middle Office - Client Service Analyst within the APAC Cash Middle Office team, you will be part of a business-aligned support team for sales activities in Asia across Single Stocks, Program Trading, and Electronic Client Solutions. You will manage the market risk activity supporting Agency as well as GAT trading while also supporting client activity from an operational perspective and maintaining stringent controls in daily sales activities. Your role will involve a range of transactional support, client relationship management, and controls for products such as Derivatives, Cash equity, convertible bonds, stock borrow and loan, depositary receipts, among others..

Job Responsibilities:

Operates as point of contact for clients on all operational issues including allocation, pre-match, settlement and post settlement events. Act as point of contact for Front office trading and Sales queries. Supports Asia clients trading global markets. Performs reconciliations between front office, middle office and back office systems to ensure data capture accuracy and completeness. Ensures all transactions are correctly captured in booking systems, risk management and downstream systems and escalate issues for any urgent matters or assistance Action and perform root cause analyses on new issues or control gaps Work closely with client, Settlements and other third party institutions to settle client trades. Produce time sensitive reports with actionable data to Front Office, Middle Office or Back Office for break resolutions and detailed business control metrics to management on a daily basis Liaise with client onboarding and reference data team to setup accounts internally Liaise with support teams to identify and fix exceptions. Ensure the Sales and Trading are in compliance with rules and regulations in various local jurisdictions.

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills:

Bachelors’ degree or equivalent in Banking or Finance Minimum 2 years of experience or knowledge of Equities, Bonds, and Equity Swap products and relevant process flows is necessary Understand the key elements of other infrastructure groups (i.e. Finance, Market risk, Credit risk, Operational risk, Legal, Collateral etc.) and recognize the impact of MO actions on these areas Excellent communication skills; fluency in English required as the role requires daily and extensive communication directly with FO Sales & Marketing groups Attention to details and sense of ownership & problem solving skills Great team player able to work in a pressurized and changing environment Possess strong analytical and numerical skills Strategic thinking ability and passion for innovation & change management Ability to adapt to changing environments and possess the mindset to seek continuous improvement in processes, controls, etc. Strong technical skills, Microsoft Office products including Word, Excel, Access, Powerpoint and Outlook

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills:

Derivatives Regulatory knowledge is a plus, i.e. Dodd Frank, EMIR Good understanding of equity products and global markets, including rules and regulations familiarity is a plus Microsoft VBA experience is a plus
