Cash Management Sales Officer - BVI Job Summary The Cash Management Sales Officer in the BVI manages the merchant services and electronic banking relationships of all commercial, high net worth clients primarily within but not limited to their respective districts. The incumbent is responsible for identifying and soliciting prospective Merchant, Cash Management and Online Banking clients; servicing the existing portfolio, complying with all required procedures and regulations; and maintaining logs associated with these and other product lines. This position serves as the main contact for Service Products solutions within the retail Bank Branches, Commercial Lending Department and all other lines of businesses. The incumbent serves as a primary source of referrals to other areas of the bank. Essential Responsibilities + Establishes contact with and consistently services existing Merchant Service (MS) and Cash Management (CM) clients through regular visitation schedules and telephone contacts with the key players and decision makers; retains knowledge of the existing base of clients and the extent of services used. + Examines the market, identifying and interviewing potential clients, providing electronic banking/merchant services capabilities and alternative channel solutions to grow the portfolio and achieve personal sales targets, in a manner that satisfies the organization’s quality service standards. + Promotes First Bank Merchant Service and Cash Management Products and assists clients in preparing complete application packages that are in full compliance with bank requirements including account opening procedures. + Achieves a level of new business relationships consistent with unit's goals established for the Market. + Meets specific Department goals for MS Applications submitted, New MS Accounts and New CM Relationships. + Participates in OSS by referring all contacts to appropriate product areas. + Participates in regular Sales Meetings and contribute to team effort. + Participates in joint client visits with Branch Managers and other Product Specialists where appropriate to enhance the value of a solicitation. + Supports Merchant Services Department with the set-up and installation of appropriate equipment and training of clients + Supports Cash Management, Internet Banking with Bill Payment with the design, set-up and installation of electronic services + Participates in and successfully pass, at regular intervals, the mandatory training in accordance with BVI Anti-Money Laundering rules, laws, and regulations and such other applicable rules and regulations having regard to the level and nature of risk posed by the bank’s banking business in the Territory + Performs such other duties as are assigned to you by your Supervisor from time to time. Independence of Judgment Medium – utilize product plan guidelines, policies and established procedures to assist with decision-making, referring to management for guidance on issues outside of assigned and established authority. Supervisory Responsibilities This position has supervisory responsibilities, directly supervises the Auto Regional Managers. Impact of Errors Significant; errors may result in financial losses or regulatory fines; negative impact to organization’s image. Interpersonal Communication Significant interaction – very strong command of oral communication skills is required to interact with clients and colleagues within all levels of the organization; must have command of the English language with the ability to articulate properly and effectively. Very strong telephone presence and communication skills required. Must also have basic competence in written communication – the ability to craft sentences and draft correspondence in adherence with professional standards. Minimum Requirements Two years of college in Business Program; Bachelor’s degree preferred. 3-5 years Retail branch banking or individual financial services experience.
