We are looking for a highly motivated Cash Manager to join our Cash Management and Payments (CMP) Americas team. The Cash Management and Payment for the Americas region is a pivotal team responsible for overseeing Siemens’ Americas cash management and payment operations, ensuring smart and efficient liquidity structures and effective risk management.
This position involves managing bank partnerships, setting up payment infrastructure, executing daily cash management operations, and providing consultancy to Siemens entities to optimize CMP operations and drive growth. In addition, the Cash Manager will collaborate closely with global teams to implement best practices in cash management and payment and contribute to regional projects aimed at standardization, automation, and innovation of CMP infrastructure while maintaining the compliance with local regulations and best local practices.
Responsibilities:
The Cash Management and Payment (CMP) team is committed to delivering exceptional services that support Siemens Treasury Group strategic objectives. This includes but not limited to:
Bank Partner Management: Develop and maintain strong relationships with regional banks, negotiating terms and contracts, e.g. cash pooling contracts, banking fees, EBICS/API/SWIFT communication contracts, managing fees, and overseeing the administration of bank accounts. This includes ensuring compliance with banking governance models and optimizing the use of NOSTRO, Settlement accounts, ICC accounts and POBO/COBO structures for efficient cash management and payment set ups. Business Consultancy: Act as a trusted advisor for Siemens entities, providing insights on cash management and payment tools, optimizing the use of banking services, payment processing and ensuring adherence to internal controls and treasury policies. In addition, establish cash management infrastructure for new connections and innovations in the Americas, ensuring relevant training, policies, and knowledge dissemination across the business units in region. Daily Operations: Ensure seamless execution of daily cash management activities, including payment processing, liquidity management, cash concentration and manage payment inquiries, recalls, and embargo hits to ensure smooth operations and minimize operational risks. Management & Governance: Establish and uphold governance frameworks for cash management, ensuring compliance with Siemens' global standards and regulatory requirements. Overall responsibility for bank account attestations, audit requests, and support the management and governance of all Siemens CMP activities and infrastructures within the Americas region in collaboration with Regional Finance Centers (‘RFCs’). Projects: Engage in global and regional projects (M&A activities, POBO/COBO set ups, Virtual Bank Account set ups, Cash Application Automation, Real Payment Processing…etc.), serving as a subject matter expert to drive improvements in cash management, payment and collection processes. Participate in initiatives related to the implementation of digital banking solutions, cash concentration strategies, and treasury innovation to meet evolving business needs. Work closely with local and global project managers to ensure successful implementation of projects, including data collection, defining scope, setting timelines, and managing resources.
