Description
We are offering a long-term contract employment opportunity for a Cash Posting Specialist in San Leandro, California. In this role, you will be expected to perform advanced administrative duties related to payment posting, including maintaining documentation, conducting reconciliations, and performing research tasks in a customer service setting.
Responsibilities
• Handle payment posting tasks in a timely and accurate manner
• Maintain comprehensive records of customer credit
• Correct and identify errors, and analyze trends in payment data
• Perform data entry tasks using tools such as a 10-key calculator
• Use Microsoft Office tools like Word, Excel, and Outlook proficiently for various tasks
• Conduct reconciliation tasks as part of record-keeping initiatives
• Engage in research tasks as required to support payment posting functions
• Uphold the company's standards of behavior in all interactions
• Assist in the Accounts Receivable department with tasks like patient payment posting, both electronic and manual
• Demonstrate a thorough understanding of Explanations of Benefits (EOB) and Remittance Advices (RA)
• Utilize excellent communication skills to interact with individuals from diverse backgrounds.

Requirements • Proficient in data entry with an emphasis on accuracy and efficiency
• Experience in documenting procedures and policies
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and other Office Suites
• Understanding of payment processing methods and research techniques
• Familiarity with Accounts Receivable (AR) and finance principles
• Ability to perform benefit functions and reconciliations
• Knowledge of collection processes and clerical duties
• Excellent command of the English language, both written and spoken
• Strong communication skills to effectively liaise with various departments
• Knowledge of consumer electronics will be an asset
• Proficiency in 10 key skills and general computer skills
• Experience in office administration, preferably in a finance-related role
• Strong analytical skills to evaluate and improve existing practices
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suites and other related software.
