Overview Full Time Position Monday - Friday 8:00am-5:00pm The Cash Specialist is responsible for accurately posting and reconciling all third-party payers and patient payments for the healthcare system as well timely resolution of accounts in Epic work queues. Balances all cash reports daily. Makes appropriate determination for contractual adjustments, verifies balances, calculates, and posts adjustments during payment posting. Ensures financial integrity of UF Health Shands healthcare system by processing and expediting payment, denials, and adjustment processes. Ensures compliance with regulatory requirements. Qualifications Required Education: High School Diploma or GED. Necessary Skills: 1. Must be organized, excellent communication and work independently. 2. Must have above average math skills and be keyboard and calculator proficient. 3. Must be able to adapt quickly in high volume, fast-paced environment. Required Experience: One (1) year minimum experience with finance, accounting, or collection systems Preferred Experience: Related experience in hospital environment.
