Cash Specialist 1
Our client, a leading Healthcare company, is looking for a Cash Specialist for a 6-Month Contract onsite in Fairfax, VA. The Cash Specialist 1, ensures the appropriate and timely write-off of all account adjustment requests. Ensures the appropriate handling of non-payment EOB's and denial requests. Takes ownership of the timely and accurate posting of patient and insurance payments, insurance write-offs, charge adjustments, deductibles, copays and non-covered or denied amounts. Balances all adjustments and payments posted daily by batch in Epic. Balances all adjustments and payments posted daily by batch in Health quest. Ensures that all payments, EFT, and ACH transactions are posted the day they are received and posted via the appropriate medium (paper/electronic) and with all required adjustments. Provides resolution for problem accounts (purged, unidentified, etc.) within allowable timeframes, as defined for appropriate deficiency, and/or provides appropriate account follow-up based on established protocol. Meets weekly productivity and quality expectations for assigned work lists and any supervisor- assigned special tasks. Documents and reports postings or balancing issues immediately and provides feedback to management regarding issues. Attends and participates in monthly staff meetings. Ensures that all accounts are reviewed, corrections are identified and resolutions have been initiated or escalated to management as appropriate. Ensures all Non-Patient NPR financial revenue is recorded with the correct G/L code. May perform additional duties as assigned. Requirements: Must have experience working with Epic or similar platforms.  Must have related experience working with Revenue Cycles in healthcare setting.
