Job Overview:
Operate a cash register, collects money for meals in the employee dining room, and performs related clerical duties

Prepares and handles food in accordance with sanitary and HACCP regulations, in sufficient quantities and on time to meet scheduleObserves food items on tray of each employee in cafe line calculates cost using cash register, accepts payment, makes change, completes required formsMaintains all areas of cashier responsibilities including neat and accurate display of the menu board, currency of the price book, and related suppliesCompletes all money related responsibilities including: counting and summarizing cash to prepare deposits, completing documentation in cashiers book, balancing registers with receipts and confirming sales reportsObserves tray of each individual in cafe line, rings up items on cash register, collects money and makes changeMemorizes the daily cafe menu and the cost of the various items or combination of itemsPrepares salad bar for staff, works in a sanitary manner, and assists in assuring that all employees food is at the proper temperaturePrepares food for employee cafe and Rainbow Cafe according to daily menu as necessaryActs as backup for Rainbow cashier positionFollows pre established par levels of food needed to meet salad bar requirementsEstimates time required to prepare food in order to meet cafe menu requirements and other similar deadlinesPerforms other duties as assignedChoosing RWJBarnabas Health!
