JOB SUMMARY:
Welcomes and seats guests promptly in a friendly, professional manner.
KEY JOB FUNCTIONS:
Greets restaurant guests in a friendly and courteous manner. Able to describe and answer any questions regarding the dinner menu, cocktail list, and hours of operations. Arranges for prompt seating of guests in order of arrival or availability of seating accommodations. Quotes accurate waiting times, and seats guests when tables are available. Assists in identifying casino comps, hotel and VIP guests for seating. Informs Manager of VIP guests Maintains cleanliness of menus. Familiarizes self with hotel/casino so that accurate directions can be given to guests who inquire. Maintains the appropriate supplies needed for the proper performance of duties. Prepares multiple reports. Responds to telephone calls. Able to communicate with servers regarding guests’ preferences or special needs. Ability to maintain a professional demeanor throughout the evening.EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
High School graduate preferred Previous experience as a host preferred; previous reservation systems experience preferred.QUALIFICATIONS:
Literacy and fluency in English Above average communication and interactive skills Legible handwriting Excellent computer skills Excellent guest service skills Ability to uphold and demonstrate the highest level of integrity in all situations and recognize standards required by a regulated business.
