We’re looking for senior tradespeople with Casing or Rock Drilling experience.
Drillers are an essential member of the frontline team, responsible for drilling holes, monitoring their condition, and leading crews in the operation and care of drilling equipment. Drillers play a crucial role in achieving company goals, ensuring respect for company property, and maintaining a high standard of reliability, punctuality, and work ethic.
Responsibilities
+ Working with a Project Manager, Superintendent and teammates, apply your skills effectively to get work done efficiently, safely and correctly.
+ Work in your specialty area but be willing and able to contribute any work that helps drive project success.
+ Up to 100% travel on 3-week on 1 week off schedule
+ Learn and apply new skills so you can do more: machines, soils technology, specialty techniques, leadership and problem-solving principles.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
+ 3+ years of geotechnical drilling experience
+ Possess deep knowledge of different types of geotechnical tools and drilling techniques
+ Casing/Tie Back Drilling OR
+ Rock Drilling experience (Comacchio, Klemm, Casagrande and Fraste drills)
+ Maintain drills for optimal functionality, and work with teammates to understand their maintenance requirements.
+ Maintain drill logs, as-builts, and other project documentation accurately.
+ At least one year oftravelingconstruction labor experience.
+ At least one year of working outside in all conditions.
+ Ability to read and interpret blueprints
+ Ability to understand and meet daily production targets.
+ A history of problem solving; the ability to grasp a problem, see a solution, and do whatever it takes to get the problem solved.
+ A history of complying with construction crew safety principles and tools.
+ Ability to be on time, all the time, every time
+ Valid Driver's License (CDL Preferred)
Work Environment
The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.
+ Climates vary in degrees, in tropical to desert environments.
+ The noise level in the work environment is moderate and hearing protection is often required.
+ Exposure to characteristic construction site dangers.
+ Heavy lifting (50lbs+) of construction materials on the job site.
+ Hourly range: $28.00 to $35.00 per hour plus
+ Overtime
+ Yearly Bonus
