THE JOB: 

The Park MGM Casino Cashier role involves enhancing the service experience through accurate processing of customer and inter-departmental monetary transactions, delivering excellent guest service, and promoting the MGM Rewards program.  All duties are to be performed in accordance with federal, state and local laws, regulations, and ordinances, as well as department and Company policies, practices, and procedures.  By delivering exceptional customer service you will play a vital role in our mission to own the guest’s experience and create WOW memories that they will carry with them far beyond their stay with us.

THE STARTING PAY RATE:  $17.25 / Per Hour

THE DAY-TO-DAY:

Perform entry-level transactions at the frontline, including chip bank, poker, cage credit, and employee bank/window transactionsCash various types of checks for patrons according to specified guidelines; redeem chips/tokens, TITO (ticket in/ticket out), and Race and Sports ticketsExecute tasks at a marker/IOU bank and High Limit cage, and may also service patron Kiosk/TRU units and employee Recycler/JetSafe unitsHandle both Marker and Front Money transactions on patron accountsExchange acceptable types of foreign currenciesAccurately complete electronic multiple transaction logs, and manually complete transaction logs as neededSafeguard and document all recordable transactions involving company assetsProvide patrons with general information upon requestIssue or retrieve safety deposit boxesFulfill other duties as assigned

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:

Must be 21 years of age or olderMust be able to work various shifts, including weekends and all holidaysCapable of standing and walking for a majority of the shiftOne (1) year of prior high-volume cash handling experienceOne (1) year of previous guest services experience in the Casino Cage department of a similar resort settingOne (1) year of previous banking experienceHas a firm understanding of Casino OperationsProficiency in fundamental mathematical skills such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and money handlingProficiency of computer software to include Outlook, MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint as well as office equipment, i.e. telephone, copier, fax machineKnowledge of 10-key adding machine, currency counter and cash advance machineExceptional customer service and interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with all stakeholders
