Job Purpose or Objective(s): The Equipment Operator constructs and maintains landscaped areas, parking lots, service roads; signage upkeep, clearing an area in preparation for additional work; ensure availability of items to complete projects on time; and coordinate workflow and ensuring safety of guests and co-workers. You will report to the Grounds Manager.
Start Rate: $16.00/hour | Full-Time | Night (3rd) Shift
Primary Tasks:
1. You will operate equipment including forklifts, backhoe, zero turn mowers, tractors, skid loaders to construct and maintain landscaped areas, fences, parking lots, building pads and service roads.
2. Perform basic maintenance of equipment such as oil changes, replacing filters, spark plugs, replacing and sharpening blades.
3. Maintain tools, equipment and vehicles to ensure the availability of equipment in safe operating condition.
4. Perform a variety of landscaping work to complete assigned work orders and maintenance projects.
5. You will transport mowers and other heavy equipment to and from work sites to ensure their availability for use in completing work assignments.
6. Respond to emergency situations including snow, ice on sidewalks to help resolve immediate safety concerns.
7. Excavate property including dirt, asphalt, concrete, and debris for the purpose of installing, repairing landscaped areas and fields in a safe and clean condition.
8. Perform other tasks as assigned.
Requirements:
Valid State issued Driver's License
Mechanically inclined and prior experience with multiple technical, mechanical requirements of the job
Basic knowledge of chemicals interactions, danger signs, production techniques, and disposal methods
Knowledge of cleaning machines and tools, including their designs, uses, basic repair.
General knowledge of cleaning/maintenance requirements in the hospitality/casino industry
Adhere to safety procedures and OSHA regulations 2 or more years' experience operating equipment including: forklifts, back hoes, zero turn mowers, tractors, skid loaders.
