About the role:
This role will lead all aspects of the Massena Casthouse. The position is required to lead and direct the entire casting process from receiving and/or melting molten metal, thru casting to maximize efficiencies and production while meeting quality and purity requirements and into shipping, transportation and customer follow up.
Major deliverables:
Manage the operations of the Casthouse to produce cast products that meet customer specifications.Drive improvements in Casthouse profitability through increased value-added product production..Apply a continuous improvement mentality in the day to day, month to month, year to year plan by aggressively listening for new ideas, looking for new technologies and approaches for cast house cost reduction.Lead, plan and implement all capital investments in the cast houseMaintain and create a flexible and agile work environment where you can adjust to any economic climate/conditionBe a health and safety leader, using Human Performance tools, and promote environmental values of the plant.Ensure there is a robust training system in place that lines up with our Human Performance and Lean Manufacturing principles.Ensure that all employees are performing work according to the correct quality and safety procedures (all SSOPs and SPL are being followed)Supervise any labor relations issues within the facility following Alcoa policy including the grievance and discipline processes.Maintain and develop positive employee relations and communicationsBe a contributing member of the site lead team.What you can bring to this role:
8+ years of increasing responsibility in a production or maintenance related capacity in an industrial environmentSupervisory experience in a manufacturing or process industryAbility to influence and communicate across the spectrum of the workforce (i.e. from management through to operators and maintainers)Sound understanding/experience of project management working to cost and schedule metricsHands on experience in Lean Manufacturing, ISO, Six Sigma is a plusExcellent analysis and problem-solving skillsWhat we offer:

Base salary: $119,000 - $163,500 USD annuallyTotal rewards packages listed, including base salary and bonus eligibility, applies to US based applicants only. Actual salaries will vary and will be based on a range of factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, and competencies in conjunction with multiple components of the Employee Total Rewards Package. Alcoa reserves the right to change plans at its discretion.About the Location
