Casting & Booking Supervisor - Musicians

Each Casting Supervisor is responsible for attracting, recruiting, and hiring top talent in specified discipline to cover all Entertainment positions across the entire Carnival Cruise Line fleet. Develop audition schedule based the manning needs, new programs being developed, and seasonality. Identify potential talent sources and create relationships to develop future talent pools. Assure talent pool is diverse, so that each ship based on roles, requirements. Partner with discipline specific Managers to insure talent pool is strong and effectively utilized.

Essential Functions:

Strategically cast team members based on knowledge of programs and individual skill set. Able to identify the individual who will best fit the specific position based on knowledge of the programs offered on each individual ship, specialized initiatives while taking into consideration the guest demographic and TM growth/engagement.  Maintain discipline schedule, and individuals’ movement in Crew Personnel System for 1000+ team members. Continually analyze processes and systems, and develop strategies for improving future results. Prepare returning staff for their contracts to help ensure success. Partner with directors and operational managers to maintain overall quality and integrity of Entertainment programs. Periodically, assist in conducting interviews (online and in cities around the world) to find the best new talent across the two discipline.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree  2-4 years working in an office environment, preferably with database systems and the need to use strategic thinking.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Strategic thinking to find solutions to complex problems that can balance short and long-term objectives. Ability to work proactively, both individually and as a team. Strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills. Ability to remain calm and focused when working under pressure in time-sensitive situations. Must be computer/tech/web savvy and familiar with all MS office products, especially Excel. Database knowledge preferred. Strong understanding of the company’s entertainment product. Strong understanding of required skills needed to be a successful shipboard staff.

Physical Demands: Must be able to remain in a stationary position at a desk and/or computer for extended periods of time. Requires regular movement throughout CCL facilities. May need to stand for long periods of time.

Travel: Less than 25% non-shipboard travel likely

Work Conditions: Work primarily in a climate-controlled environment with minimal safety/health hazard potential. Other job specific working conditions: Night, Holiday, and weekend work may be required

The range for this role’s base salary is $51,600 - $65,000.  Offers to selected candidates will be made on a fair and equitable basis, taking into account specific job-related skills and experience.
