Casting Operations Manager
Our client is seeking a Casting Operations Manager to join their team in Ridgeville, SC.

This person will have expertise in aluminum die casting operations providing all leadership and responsibilities for casting and melting functions. This position has a direct responsibility to management and to all customers for communications and correspondence production matters. They will provide the tone and strategy to satisfy customers, team members, management, and stakeholders confidence. Review Casting Orders, establish production schedules and coordinate with Sales Manager Manage production work schedules and manpower requirements. Manages the development of the team members through Skill Based Pay process and identify appropriate development and trainings in accordance with Human Resources (HR) department. Works across functional lines to research and understand operational impacts and solutions that benefit the company. Supervise die cast and melt production operations, maintenance, and die maintenance activities. Provide operational procedures, checklists, and related forms for production employees. Ensure all production machine safety equipment is always working correctly. Facilitate and remove obstacles to production as they arise. Ensure all production employees always use proper safety equipment. Ensure full compliance with shop health and safety policies and perform accident investigations. Immediately correct any harmful or potentially harmful safety conditions Implement and manage expenses and capital projects. Process development activities that may include new cell development and new product launches. DAILY: Review P.R. requests and establish casting delivery schedules with Sales Mgr. Performs other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field. 3 to 5 years pervious Die Cast Management experience 10 years of die casting experience Basic knowledge of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic functions and components. Team Oriented. Self-starter initiative / Drive/ Eager to learn. Leadership: demonstrated ability to lead people and get results through others Experience in core making, heat treatment is considered a plus. Communicates effectively with customers, vendors, and other employees of the organization. Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to work collaboratively with Engineering and Quality, and other co-workers to leverage their expertise to solve complex problems. Must be able to prioritize work and coordinate multiple tasks within constraints of the position. Must be hands-on and have a personal drive to succeed. Able to handle conflict resolution and other employee complaints in a timely and professional manner. A Self- Starter with ability to work independently in fast pace deadline orientated environment and to establish strong team relationships Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, daily overtime and off shifts as needed.
