What You Will Do:

The Wax and Post Cast Process Engineer will be responsible for developing the investment casting wax injection, wax assembly, and post cast processes for the castings of today and tomorrow. This is a dynamic role supporting the development of processes for all parts in the RPCL and leading activities to improve process capability, including execution of new capital projects.

Key Responsibilities

Lead development of production processes, work instructions, quality requirements, and regulatory requirements for investment castingsDevelop and deploy standardized engineering practices, processes, tools, and methodsUse Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement tools to develop and prioritize ideas for and lead execution of process improvement projects to reduce process variation, increase throughput, and improve part quality.Lead activities to increase the Manufacturing Readiness Level (MRL) for new parts and technologiesDevelop ideas, secure funding, and execute capital equipment projects to improve process capability

Qualifications You Must Have:

B.S. degree in Engineering with 2+ years applicable experience orM.S. degree in EngineeringU.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.

Qualifications We Prefer:

Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Manufacturing EngineeringSix Sigma green belt or equivalentExperience in investment casting in areas of wax injection/assembly and grindingExperience with airfoil tooling, injection tooling and related dimensional qualification processesExperience with Unigraphics NX

Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance workers, as they are essential to the development of our engines.

The salary range for this role is 64,000 USD - 128,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Specific benefits are dependent upon the specific business unit as well as whether or not the position is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement.

Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.
