We have 1 role within our Casualty Team.
The successful candidate will preferably have experience in a Casualty underwriting environment and exposure to dealing with Brokers and Clients.
You will ensure underwriting integrity through appropriate deployment of underwriting guidelines and controls, consistency of approach towards risk selection, pricing, and use of capacity. You will be responsible for handling existing cases as well as developing new business opportunities.
This exciting role could suit an existing underwriter who is motivated, inquisitive, with an appetite for a new challenge.
Key Responsibilities
Underwrite new business and renewals according to defined underwriting guidelines, specified budget and local business plan. Assist Casualty Manager with the development and management of the portfolio, market profile and producer relationships – This involves regular liaison with brokers, clients and Chubb business development managers. Maintain accurate files, monitor and maintain existing policies. Work within the framework of Chubb ethical and service standards. Assist in formulating underwriting strategy, forecasts and portfolio management to achieve underwriting profitability. Ensure quality control by undertaking quantitative underwriting reviews, and carrying out peer reviews. Represent and promote Chubb corporately to brokers, internal and external clients.Knowledge & Experience
Comprehensive understanding and working knowledge of Public Liability and Employer’s Liability coverage, the insurance market and Competitors. Experience in a Casualty underwriting environment. Solid experience of dealing with clients and brokers.Results driven with ability to make own decisions and work on own initiative.Talent for accuracy and attention to detail.Possess affinity for learning systems and be proficient on Microsoft (Excel in particular).Progress to CIP/ACII beneficial – and continuous development of technical and broader business skills.We offer in return!
