Catalyst Technician
**Job Title: Catalyst Technician** **Job Description** As a Catalyst Technician, you will be an essential team member responsible for participating in all rescue operations and working under immediately dangerous to life and health (IDLH) confined space entry conditions. You will operate and maintain all company-owned or rented vehicles in a professional manner, maintain a clean environment, and report unusual findings in vessels such as fused catalyst or hot spots. Your role will also include unloading and loading tubular vessels, adhering to all Quality Assurance and Quality Control requirements, and supporting supervisors by keeping work areas clear and free of obstructions. **Responsibilities** + Participate in all rescue operations. + Work under immediately dangerous to life and health (IDLH) confined space entry conditions. + Operate and maintain company-owned or rented vehicles in a professional manner. + Maintain a clean environment and report unusual findings in vessels such as fused catalyst or hot spots. + Unload and load tubular vessels. + Adhere to all Quality Assurance and Quality Control requirements. + Load catalyst bed. + Assist with the cleaning and correct loading of equipment and trailers. + Support supervisors by keeping work areas clear and free of obstructions. + Learn the proper function and usage of the Life Support equipment and its safety factors. + Wear Life Support equipment on non-inert confined space entries and gain experience on its usage and safety. + Operate retrieval devices and multi-gas portable detectors. + Monitor the surroundings and dangers associated with entering confined spaces. + Follow all Company Quality Control/Quality Assurance procedures and processes. + Perform confined space entries (non-inert). + Maintain poise and focus under time constraints and adverse conditions. + Attend and complete training as required by the Company and client. + Pass all required drug/alcohol testing. **Essential Requirements** + Possession of a TWIC card. + Willingness to travel extensively. + Ability to maintain a clean-shaven face. + 2 or below DISA score. + Comfort working at heights and in confined spaces. + Open to working day or night shifts, with potential changes every assignment. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Ability to watch and understand provided training videos. + Pass hair follicle, mouth swab, and urine tests. **Why Work Here?** This position offers long-term work with opportunities for growth and advancement. You will have the opportunity to move up and grow within the company, unlike many other catalyst companies. **Work Environment** The work environment involves sharing a hotel room with another person on an alternative schedule. You must be open to working day or night shifts, with the possibility of changes every assignment. Shifts are typically 12 hours but could extend to 14 or 16 hours depending on the client. Travel is a must for this role. The pay rate is $28 per hour, with automatic overtime pay after 40 hours. Saturday and Sunday are also eligible for automatic overtime pay. **Job Type & Location** This is a Permanent position and their shop is based out of La Porte, Texas. **Pay** Pay is $28 hourly when out on a travel job not salary (the salary section is incorrect). In shop when not traveling the hourly rate is $22/hr. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $20000.00 - $28000.00 Long term work for cat spec- they will send you from job to job & keep you busy so that's why travel is a must. if you aren't working in the field- they will put you in the shop (less pay) & no more than 40 hours.
