Caterpillar Poland is looking for an experienced Category Buyer for its Sosnowiec team. 

What Will You Do: 

Acting as the liaison between the organization and the supplier to communicate information explicitly 

Developing, managing, and executing the category strategy managing policies, agreements and contracts focusing on the following categories: tubes, fittings and adapters 

Recognizing the potential for cost decreases, inventory reductions and quality improvement, as well as responsibility for the soundness of business proposals and risk assessment 

Documenting the suppliers' performance on time sensitiveness and production; maintaining a strong relationship with suppliers 

What You Will Have: 

Completed higher education in related fields or equivalent experience 

Proven knowledge and experience related to strategic sourcing methods, technologies and processes 

Ability to transform numerical data into business insight (existing knowledge of the use of PowerBI, Excel and/or Tableau is greatly appreciated) 

Great command of both Polish and English to effectively transmit, receive, and accurately interpret ideas, information, and needs through the application of appropriate communication behaviours. 

Aptitude towards negotiating successfully across the organization and with external vendors and clients in a constructive and collaborative manner.
