Summary:
As the Category Coordinator, you will support all of the transaction activities in conjunction with Category Managers. Working efficiently and effectively with all of our DC's to provide excellent customer service and superior communications.
Key Responsibilities:
Be responsible for assisting in managing inventory sourcing on assigned group of programs Assist category managers with the development and implementation of strategic sourcing and procurement processes. Achieve optimum service cost while ensuring high level of quality/service and the respect of delivery targets. Work with category managers with the development of price forecasts for key market drivers. Supply day-to-day management to insure product availability and performance. Develop in-depth knowledge of key material market suppliers and cost infrastructure. Assist category managers with negotiations with vendors for the procurement of all materials, supplies, equipment and services. Assists with the developing new supply sources where vendors are inadequate. Follow and enforce good safety practices. Ensure materials purchased will be done on a timely basis and all business transactions are conducted with in a professional manner. Monitor costs and schedules. Assist category managers with directing contract terms and manage vendor contracts to track financial terms, renewal terms, and other important contractual terms. Communicate daily market conditions, incoming products, current inventory, and potential/current outages. Review inventory, item movement/history, ad projections, and product supply; determine need and recommend or place orders. Report variances with corrective actions to the sales manager and sales supervisor once per period. Utilize order and pricing guides. Support daily push and extra value items.Perform other duties as assigned.What You Bring to Pacific Seafood:

Minimum of five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experiencePreferred:
