Category Execution Partner, Senior Associate

This role is responsible for delivering exceptional category value to Pfizer stakeholders through the execution and implementation of global sourcing strategies that meet the needs of the internal customers and suppliers; and will work as part of the global Enterprise Indirect Sourcing team, based at strategic locations in Tampa, Florida, Thessaloniki, Greece, and Vizag, India. This role is based at our Tampa, FL site.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Category Strategy Execution

Contributes to the delivery of exceptional category value to Pfizer stakeholders through the execution of global category strategies

Contributes to end-to-end management of medium or high complexity initiatives

Support engagement with respective stakeholders from the category strategy team to act as the organization's execution arm

Support the category execution plans by working on the strategic objectives and drive cost savings, process improvements, and innovation

Understands, explores and works on workflow management tools and intake requests

Sourcing Process Ownership

Contributes to entire sourcing process, from identifying suppliers, implementation of new sourcing strategies, aligning with supplier and internal customer needs

Work on the development of medium to high complexity RFXs and in coordination with stakeholders clearly capture scope, objectives, evaluation criteria, and keep a track that the RFX meets all requirements and timelines

Contribute to the activities associated with identifying potential suppliers, including supplier assessments, evaluation of supplier capabilities, reliability, and capacity

Facilitate communication of internal stakeholders of the RFX to potential suppliers and response to supplier inquiries

Engage in the discussions with the suppliers to negotiate and finalize contracts

Support e-Sourcing capability with global templates that can be leveraged regionally

Apply knowledge of market trends, industry best practices, and emerging technologies related to standard sourcing, contracting & savings processes in the execution process

Provide support for the regular business reviews to track performance, identify areas for improvement, and ensure excellent value delivered to Pfizer in terms of cost savings, cost avoidance, cycle time to source spend

Contracting Process Ownership

Support end-to-end contracting processes and procedures in line with industry best

Contribute to the contract drafting / redlining process and the associated communication with the stakeholders

Support the material build for guidance and training of business stakeholders on the contracting process, including contract review, negotiation, and execution

Ensure all contracts are properly executed, stored, and maintained in a centralized contract management system

Contribute to activities such as contract renewals, amendments, and terminations

Contribute to the creation of a library of standard contract templates, clauses, and terms and conditions that can be easily adapted to meet specific business needs

QUALIFICATIONS

Must–to–Have

Minimum of bachelor’s degree in business, Operations & Supply Chain Management, or a related discipline

Demonstrated understanding of the end-to-end procurement process, including category execution, strategic sourcing and supplier management

Demonstrated ability to effectively manage procurement contracts, including drafting, reviewing, and negotiating terms and conditions, tracking and managing contract deliverables, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements

Strong analytical skills and comfort with standard analytical methods and tools (e.g., Microsoft Excel, Access)

Microsoft Office skills (Excel, Word, PPT)

EXPERIENCE

3+ years of experience in sourcing & procurement with category expertise (OR 1+ years’ experience for MBA/MS)

Experience in execution of sourcing & contracting projects, contract drafting (Knowledge / experience with different types of contracts)

Experience conducting medium to high complexity, routine negotiations

Experience in managing supplier relationships and supplier performance metrics

Experience in building material for training of business stakeholders

KNOWLEDGE

Knowledge of Category execution

Knowledge of standard sourcing, contracting & savings processes

Basic knowledge of Ariba, System Application and e-sourcing (RFx) procurement systems, processes and procedures

Exposure to project management, including the ability to participate in multiple cross-functional projects, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines

Strong analytical skills and comfort with standard analytical methods and tools (e.g., Microsoft Excel, Access)

Good knowledge of PowerPoint, and other relevant software

The annual base salary for this position ranges from $70,200.00 to $117,000.00. In addition, this position is eligible for participation in Pfizer’s Global Performance Plan with a bonus target of 10.0% of the base salary.
