The Category Management and Strategic Procurement Product Supervisor leads development and training of Category Management and Procurement business technologies and processes, with direction from North American Category Management and Strategic Procurement Technology Manager. Utilizing a problem solving approach, creates and maintains technology solutions to support and advance organizational goals to drive efficiency in our supplier relationships. Leads and drives ongoing evaluation and continuous improvement of tools, technologies and processes ensuring appropriate configuration with other business technology platforms. Working closely with business product owners, Category teams and Strategic Procurement teams to find more efficient ways to arrive at accurate and reliable decisions leveraging internal/external data sources, programming and machine learning.
How you will make an impact:
Responsible for vision, technical development, and maintenance of Category Management and Procurement technology solutionsResponsible for creating and implementing effective training curriculum on all Category Management and Strategic Procurement tools and processes.
Identifies and documents user stories and use cases for new features and functionality for assigned tools
Continually evaluates opportunities that can be enhanced by Artificial Intelligence or Machine Learning
Leverages both strong business knowledge and technical background to develop and implement solutions coordinating with outside developers as appropriate
Develops and maintains business rules for AI or machine learning system applications
Manages & monitors data tables used in department technical systems and ensure relationship integrity
Leverages expertise to design and create robust tools, enabling strategic sourcing solutions for Procurement teams and product/vendor management for Category teams
Uses strong procurement subject matter expertise to direct SAAS developers, and contracted technology resources
Analyzes requests of users to enhance analytic tools leveraging developers, VBA, or other programming languages
Maintains technology across Category Management and Strategic Procurement
Responsible for modifying technology to reduce risk and enhance current systems
Leads automatization of identified data resources internal/external into decision making tools
Mines and analyzes data from company database to drive optimization and improvements in the procurement processes
Assess the effectiveness and accuracy of new data sources and data gathering techniques
Leads the technical building of technology that meets the needs of business process
Interviews, hires, trains, and retains staff. Conducts performance monitoring of staff, initiates follow through with disciplinary action and termination in consultation with Human Resources when appropriate for the department. Mentors, motivates, and develops staff. Serves as a role model.

What you will bring to the table:
Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, or Supply Chain is preferred. Other bachelor degrees with demonstrated business competency and ability to manage analytical processes
Five years previous business experience in technology, supply chain, finance, or applicable equivalent with demonstrated ability to develop technology platforms utilizing business acumen in previous role(s) or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
