About the role
This role will have responsibility for managing all Indirect spend for our business in North America. You will be responsible for overseeing our indirect spend and P2P processes, building a preferred supplier list and delivering targeted savings to the business. You will develop collaborative relationships with internal stakeholders and external suppliers to optimize service delivery value. Reporting into the Global Procurement Director, you will work closely with all members of the global procurement organization and key business stakeholders.
What you'll be doing
Driving strategic initiatives to achieve our global procurement strategy and targeted savings Ensuring our procurement policy guidelines and best procurement practices are applied throughout our business in North America Overseeing the end to end procurement process including strategic sourcing, category management, RFP, RFI, tendering Build and develop relationships with business stakeholders at all levels across the group Build and maintain key performance targets to measure supplier performance Continually analyze supplier spend determine best options and make recommendations by evaluating total cost and quality of indirect goods and services Streamline current supplier base and a preferred supplier list Oversee strategic supplier sourcing and build mutual beneficial relationships with suppliers Facilitate resolution of supplier performance issues Monitor our supply chain to mitigate any potential risk to Computacenter Promote collaboration within the global indirect procurement teams Keep up to date with purchasing trends and associated legislation and apply these as appropriate
What you have
Bachelor’s degree or MCIPS qualified or equivalent procurement qualifications A minimum of 10 years' experience in procurement operations, sourcing, negotiations, contract management Experience in supporting procurement globalization, and experience in supporting international procurement projects Previous experience in leading and managing procurement team (desirable) Strong strategic, organizational, and communication skills Excellent people skills and a high level of emotional intelligence Excellent data analytic capabilities and advanced proficiency in Excel Proven ability of analyzing and resolving complex problems quickly to drive performance improvement Experience using procurement software SRM/ Ariba/SAP Excellent verbal communication, negotiation and engagement skills
