The Category Manager will be responsible for preforming analysis of historical spend data, market research and cost modeling in order to leverage high value opportunities that deliver innovative and sustainable value, operational efficiencies and risk mitigation. They are responsible for overall spend and savings opportunities for the category including establishing and maintaining a Total Cost of Ownership Model for the category, in alignment with stakeholders throughout the organization. They will be responsible for creating necessary working groups with key stakeholders, and building relationships that facilitate the realization of strategic and financial value. Incumbent will learn about their assigned categories to include a thorough knowledge of products, industry trends and innovation, and competitive landscape within clinical or non-clinical supply chain for healthcare including analysis and reporting, educating all cross-functional teams on category trends and opportunities within their category's product and service make-up and pricing. This position will partner with supply chain, clinical and non-clinical leadership to arrive at and implement savings and standardization initiatives. **This position will work a hybrid schedule with occassional requirement in-person to the office. Must reside in the Colorado, Kansas, or Utah area.** Qualifications: In addition to bringing humankindness to the workplace each day, qualified candidates will need the following: + High School Diploma/G.E.D. required + Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Supply Chain Management, Business, Finance, Biomedical Engineering, or related discipline, preferred + MBA, MHA, or masters in a quantitative discipline, preferred. + Three years of experience in strategic sourcing or category management and pricing evaluation and negotiation. May be supplemented with healthcare supply chain management, operational, administrative, project management roles or advanced educational experiences. + Two years of experience in maintaining a similar category of goods / services + Experience analyzing industry trends and conditions to help determine and implementing sourcing strategies in alignment with organization goals + Qualified Applicator Certificate, preferred + Certified Purchasing Manager, preferred Physical Requirements - Sedentary work - prolonged periods of sitting and exert up to 10 lbs. force occasionally Your Connected Community: We believe in the healing power of humanity and serving the common good through our dedicated work and shared mission to celebrate humankindness.
