Job Description

Our client has an exciting opportunity for a Category Manager to join their Northern Europe (UK, Ireland, Denmark, Sweden, Norway & Finland) Category Team who are responsible for defining and executing our client's consumer product and/solution go-to-market strategy; influence product roadmap, business models and strategy; and manage long term health of the business through actionable customer insights to and from partners. The Category manager drives the overall business with a focus on key strategic retailers and sales channels.

Key Responsibilities

Leverage industry knowledge, channel insights, and customer understanding to drive strategic alignment, digital transformation, and land joint business objectives with partners.Define & own implementation of product specific channel strategy and investments, with a focus on retail sales channel.Design of product strategic programs, incentives, promotions, and upper funnel activities partnering with Business & Sales Operations (BSO) team and the product marketing teamsInfluence long range product and Go To Market (GTM) planningDrive product/solutions consumer channel GTM partnering across internal stakeholders.Pilot new GTM & Sales motions to future proof our client's businessDirect To Consumer (not thru partner) product GTM e.g. PR, local owned & operated Advertising (ATL & BTL), partnerships and events.Manage Launch Events - Leverage PR Moments we can showcase new products and tell our innovation story across the entire portfolioContribute to Rhythm of Business (ROB) orchestration and deliverables thru performance and planning cycles.Accountable for product revenue, P&L and compensable metric results including forecasting.Ensure Ecosystem investment alignment to core prioritiesContribute to strategic and agile tactical communication process of business performance.Generate business and competitive insights thru data analysis & visualisation, from product and partner perspectives.

Key Requirements:

Experience managing and expanding a category and attaining sales and profitability targets within a complex (e.g., multinational or matrixed) organisationKnowledge of the Consumer needs, buying practices, sales goals, and the retail environment related to the Consumer PC CategoryExperience with Consumer product purchasing and inventory controlAbility to analyse sales data, draw relevant conclusions, develop accurate business plans and forecasts, and drive executionUnderstanding of budget, profit & loss, margin, investment, and operating expense accountabilityHave experience planning and executing marketing strategies and activities that drive business results while remaining true to the brand.Have experience translating Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) into actionable plans to accelerate or capitalise on growth opportunities.

This is a hybrid role requiring 40% of the week onsite at our client's London Paddington office.

The rate of pay is c. £188 per day, dependant on experience with a potential 5% bonus. You will also benefit from paid annual leave, paid sick, paid bank holidays, pension & notice period.

This is a PAYE contract to start ASAP until June 2025, with a potential extension through to a maximum 18 months.
