As our next Category Manger for the Swedish market you will be the voice of the shopper and consumer in business decision making, both internally in our innovation process and externally towards our customers. You will operate in a multi-functional environment and collaborate with many different departments, such as Marketing, Strategy & Insights and Sales to ensure category and shopper insights are always reflected in projects and processes. Together with your manager the roles responsibilities can be adapted so that it aligns with your experience and goals.

 

 

 

The role is based in our office in Solna and you will be reporting to our Category Development Lead for Nordics & Baltics. We also want to inform you that this is a temporary position which extends until end of January 2026 and for the right person we are ready to hire as soon as possible!

 

 

Your main responsibilities

Create and maintain our shopper understandingBe the voice of the market in the innovation processPlan Category Management initiatives (space, range)Ensure execution in stores and monitor results (distribution, rotation)Ensure market insight is used in business decision-makingMonitor our assortment to ensure we have the optimal portfolio and distributionCreate shopper insights and convert these to sales-driving actions in-store with Shopper MarketingLead the local trade story creation process, building the story together with marketing and presenting to tradeSupport Marketing and Strategy & Insights teams with shopper & category insights

The most important thing for us is finding the right person for the team with a big dose of drive and clear goals. We believe that you either have a couple of years experience in a similar role and want to develop even further, or you might have just started your career and want to learn from a more junior level.

 

Regardless of your level of experience, we believe that you have:

 

Ability to turn data into insights and insights into storiesA curiosity for consumer behaviour and a willingness to finding the best solutionsGreat communication skills and the ability to make complex topics accessible for everyoneAt least a bachelors degree (a master is preferable) within Business, Economics, Marketing or relevantSolid experience from using Microsoft office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint – Power BI and other competencies with data toolsExperience from an international environment with diverse personalities and culturesFluency in English and Swedish is a requirement

It is highly meritorious if you also have: 

Proven track of experience from similar positions – Category Management, Shopper/Consumer Insights, Revenue Growth Management or Sales, within either an FMCG company or a well-known research consultancyPrevious experience using Nielsen Answers and preferably also using shopper data, such as GfK or ICA Self Serve
